Last week was another great week, even if it was short! In Social Studies our students learned about Veterans Day and the Vietnam Memorial Wall. In Language Arts, we continue our novel study of \”Because of Winn-Dixie\” and we reviewed coordinating conjunctions. We created a Veterans Day t acrostic poem. In Math, we continue to learn strategies to improve our accuracy and deepen our understanding of mathematical word problems. In science, we will be exploring plants and animals. In Religion, we are learning the true path to happiness and how The Beatitudes guide us into being better followers of Jesus.

As a class reward, we will have Sports Jersey Day Tuesday, November 10 as a class reward. Students may wear a sports jersey over their school uniforms to school. We will continue our novel study Because of Winn Dixie. We will continue developing our Mathematical strategies for solving problems and strengthening our Mathematical reasoning skills. We will begin a new unit in science, studying plants and animals and we will work on a Veterans\\\’ Day project in Social Studies.
Fall is here! Please be sure to dress your child appropriately, as we will be outside for recess anytime possible.
