PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Welcome to the Principal’s Corner !

This will be the home to the Trinity Tribune – a weekly collection of news and information compiled by Dr. Kristine Hillmann, Principal of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity School.

In addition, Dr. Hillmann will post about subjects of interest to the school community. Brief summaries of the current offerings are below.

VOLUNTEER / SERVICE HOUR OPPORTUNITIES

I, along with Mike Gibbons and Anne Salvador from the Parents’ Club, have put together a spreadsheet that outlines most of the remaining volunteer opportunities for this year.

Click here to download the spreadsheet!

We also still need one more volunteer to assist us during lunch/recess on Mondays.
If you can help, please reach out to me.

Call the School Office or drop me an email at k.hillmann@stelizabethtrinityschool.org (click to email me).

FALL 2021 IREADY SCORES

On October 15, students in kindergarten through 8th grade will be bringing home their Fall iReady scores for reading and math.

These scores are the benchmark scores we will use to track growth over the school year. Any student who is approaching or at grade level is exactly where they should be.

Teachers will be using the data to work on strengthening skills that may not be at or approaching grade level. iReady also provides individualized lessons on these same skills for each student.

We will send home spring scores so you can see the growth of your students this year.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me or your child’s teacher.

INTRODUCING THE STARS PROGRAM

The STARS (Students Truly Are Rewarding) program is a customized version of The Principal’s 100 Club (P100 Club) which was developed to reinforce the positive behaviors of entire schools.

STARS is intended to improve and enhance behavior, behavior management and overall school climate.

Our STAR Card Bulletin Board is growing! We have over 15 cards already on the board and
more to put up.

Remember, if your phone shows a call from St. Elizabeth, it does not always
mean something bad – students are calling home to share the good news about their STAR
Card!
