PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

My name is Dr. Kristine Hillmann and I am the principal of St. Elizabeth of the Trinity School .  I am so excited to be a part of this  school and I am looking forward to getting to know all of the staff, students and families of the school and parish.

The last years have been challenging (to say the least !) but everybody at the school and the community has come together to make our school a success. I am looking forward to the upcoming 2022-23 School year!

I have been in education for over 25 years and started my teaching career at Holy Cross School in Deerfield.  While at Holy Cross, I taught 5th through 8th grade both ELA and math.   After six years there, I married and moved to Colorado where my husband was stationed in the Army.  In Colorado, I taught Junior High math and reading for three years before moving back to the Chicagoland area.

Upon our return, I was hired to teach 8th grade math and science in Skokie.    Several years ago, I received my Doctorate in Leadership as well as my Type 75 and became a Principal within the Archdiocese of Chicago for five years.  After taking a year off, I am happy to be returning to the Archdiocese at St. Elizabeth!

As for my personal life, I am married and have four children, three of whom are at a Catholic school in our neighborhood as well as a high schooler.  My husband is still in the military, but as a reservist so he does his work only one weekend a month – unless he is called up for deployment (again).  And, I cannot forget our lab mix, Goldie, who we rescued a few years ago.

I am looking forward to getting into the school and getting right down to work.  I am excited to be working at St. Elizabeth and showing the community all that we have to offer!
