THANKSGIVING 2020 MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL HILLMANN

Good Afternoon St. Elizabeth Families,

There will NOT be a Trinity Tribune this week, so let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving!  I am truly thankful for the entire St. Elizabeth Community (staff, parents, and students) for all the hard work everyone is putting in to ensure our students and their families stay safe and healthy!  On to the news of the day…

Based on the surveys both staff and parents completed a week ago, the Archdiocese has recommended we remain open, so St. Elizabeth will be in school for the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

Again, I remind everyone in order for all of us to stay safe, families should continue to practice social distancing.  In addition, traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday requires a 14-day quarantine period before returning to school.

Don’t forget Santa’s Secret Shop is now open for today and tomorrow only!  Order your gifts and have them delivered directly to your door!

And if you brave Black Friday shopping, or just prefer to hit up Amazon from the comfort of your own home, don’t forget the St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Sharing program.  Boxes will be available on Monday, 11/30 for students to put in their gifts.

Finally, A few weeks ago, twelve of our 8th graders, who make up our Mathlete Team, participated in an online math competition with Fenwick High School.  Three of our students placed in the top ten – Gabriel Borromeo, Jake Aimone and Annie Figueroa.

In addition to our top ten placements, St. Elizabeth of the Trinity PLACED 1st in the Team Competition!  Over 500 students participated in the Mathletes Competition, with 43 teams and 12 schools represented.  Way to go St. Elizabeth Mathletes!

And a shout-out to Mr. Wuich for leading the team to victory!  The other 8th grade Mathletes are:  Riley McGrath, Annabel Schuler, Aidan Nelson, Maisie Pyzyk, Ellie Snee, Cecilia Sekowski, Izzy Simic, Eamon McGrath and Arianna Paida.

Great job everyone!

Our Mathletes !

Again, I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and look forward to seeing everyone back here next Monday!
