Our new resource teacher for 2023-24 is Stephanie Park.
Mrs. Park grew up in Chicago. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). Mrs. Park went on to complete her Master’s degree in Reading a few years later.
She began her teaching career in Palatine where she taught 7th and 8th grade for 13 years. Along with teaching she worked as an ESL Resource teacher for 9 years, and a Reading Specialist for 4 years.
During this time, she taught small group reading intervention groups and collaborated/co-taught with general education teachers across the content areas of Math, English/Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
She also completed her National Board certification (2017-2022). Mrs. Park took a break from full-time teaching the last 4 years to stay home with her two young children, who are also students at St. Elizabeth.
She has enjoyed subbing at our school the past two years, and is looking forward to her new role!
