It has been her experience throughout her career that ongoing teacher collaboration and professional development are essential to an educator’s growth. She enjoys building relationships with students, parents and her colleagues in order to determine where students are academically, as well as where they might need to be academically and how these relationships can build a network of support for the student and their academic journey.

Always keeping students as the top priority, Alice focuses on impactful instructional practices, data informed decision making, thoughtful questioning, best practice and trying out varied instructional strategies and ideas.

Alice enjoys working with students in an effort to create innovative, open, creative classrooms where students feel comfortable to take risks with their own learning while connecting to content, their classmates and the world around them.

Alice lives in Chicago with her husband. They have one daughter. Alice enjoys baking, reading, journaling, travel, talk radio and many genres of music.
