Mrs. Kathleen Becker, Kindergarten Teacher at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from Northeastern Illinois University, as well as an ESL endorsement from National Lewis University.
She has received her Early Childhood Special Education endorsement in 2017, as well as her Master of Education in Specialized Endorsements. She holds an Illinois Standard Early Childhood Type 04 certificate. Mrs. Becker is also a certified Catechist within the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Mrs. Becker previously taught at Saint Thecla. At Saint Thecla she taught Kindergarten from 2016-2020 and Pre-K from 2015-2016. Before Saint Thecla, Mrs. Becker worked in District 30 in Glenview at Willowbrook School, as a Special Education Teacher Assistant for two years, was a first-grade teacher at Saint Hilary School for eight years, and taught kindergarten at Saint Ferdinand for three years.
Mrs. Becker has been teaching for a total of 23 years.
Mrs. Becker’s Kindergarten classroom goals are to develop an inclusive, safe, and fun learning environment. Mrs. Becker places a special emphasis on creating a community of learners and developing her students’ social skills as well as achieving their academic goals.
She feels all students deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential and uses teaching to empower children.
Mrs. Becker is excited to begin this new adventure at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity.
